Beaumont, Texas — Plans are well underway for The Art Museum of A Night BloomingSoutheast Texas’ (AMSET) 20th Anniversary Gala, Night Blooming, a signature black-tie event to be held Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. The lavish evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction and blossom into a seated dinner and dance featuring the music of The Next Level Band. AMSET also has a grand surprise in store for guests.

“Night Blooming is a great opportunity for the community to support a major cultural institution that greatly enhances the quality of life in our region,” said AMSET Board President and Night Blooming Event Chair Judith Black. “The 20th anniversary is a major milestone in the Art Museum’s history.”

Internationally recognized artists Charmaine Locke and James Surls have been named honorary chairs of the event. Locke and Surls have generously donated important artwork to the Museum’s collection and have championed the Museum throughout Texas and through their extensive connections with other artists, galleries and museums.

The 20th Anniversary Gala will also pay special tribute to the past presidents of the Beaumont Art Museum and the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. The 2007 Gala will be an amazing opportunity to recognize where the Museum came from, while at the same time looking toward the future of the Museum. Individuals attending the Gala are significant to the prosperity of the Museum with their contributions and support. Proceeds from the event will support AMSET’s exhibition and education programs.

Tickets to Night Blooming are $250 per person or $2,000 for a table of eight. Patron and Grand Benefactor tickets and tables are also available. Seating is limited, so please call AMSET for reservations at (409) 832-3432. Dress is black tie.

The Mission of the Art Museum of Southeast Texas is to provide education, inspiration and creative vision to the people of our culturally diverse region through our collections, exhibitions, public programs, and outreach in the visual arts.
