You've seen the neon green signs around town advertising "A Tasting for Some Other Place." What is it and why should you go?

For nearly 40 years, Some Other Place has served North Jefferson County in Beaumont by providing emergency assistance to low/no income families who have faced emergency situations.

A Tasting for Some Other Place is the organization's largest fundraiser in which 100% of the proceeds benefit the continued efforts of SOP. Supporters of SOP will host a booth and provide a "tasting" of their favorite reciped to ticket holders. More than 50 booths will have recipes to tempt your tongue. This event is so popular that all downtown churches will have a shuttle bus going from their church's parking lot to the Civic Center. There's no reason not to go! Tickets can be purchased at Some Other Place, booth sponsors, the Civic Center box office and Jason's Deli restaurants at the Gateway and Dowlen Road locations.
