Gift Drives

When you are out doing your holiday shopping this weekend, please remember to pick up a gift or two and drop it by one of our area's annual gift drives:

  • December 6- The City of Beaumont Police Department will be
collecting new toys and Christmas items for the cities affected by
Hurricane Ike. Please bring your donations, unwrapped, to the Art Museum grounds where a collection area will be set up. Contact the Art Museum of Southeast Texas at (409) 832-3432 or the Texas Energy Museum at (409) 883-5100 for more information. All activities are free.
  • December 5- Each year, KFDM Channel 6 organizes "Toy Feast" on the first Friday in December. Employees collect new toys for children from birth through age 12 and non-perishable food items. The toys and food are then donated to The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program to ensure all the children receive gifts and their families can enjoy a feast at Christmas.
  • All December- Through a partnership with Munro's Cleaners and KFDM Channel 6, The Salvation Army distributes blankets, coats and jackets to children and adults during the winter months. Drop off new or good used blankets, coats and jackets at any Munro's locations through the end of December. Munro's will professionally clean the blankets and coats and give them to The Salvation Army to distribute. Monetary donations can be given as well by dropping a contribution in one of the red kettles inside the store.
