Just before Hurricane Ike (or Gustav... somebody... we can't remember!), we hosted our first women's clothing Swap. We all have clothes sitting in our closets that are in perfectly good condition, but just aren't being worn. With that in mind, we decided that a swap was in order. Out with the unworn, in with the soon-to-be-worn.

The Swap was a hit, but the one question we heard over and over was, "are ya'll gonna do this for kids?"

Hey, all ya had to do was ask. So, start your spring cleaning now and save a few boxes to bring to our First Ever Kid's Toy & Clothing Swap. Keep in mind, this isn't a time to throw out the junk. It's a S-W-A-P. Think of it as doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. Would you really give your friend a toy that Fido chewed on? Of course not and now's not the time to start. :)

* Held at First Baptist Church Beaumont (900 Calder)
* 9:30 am- 10 am is set up... bring your goods and we'll place them in the "shop"
* 10am- noon: Free SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!
* Clothing accepted is 0-5 (unless there is a demand for bigger... just speak up!)
* Toys will be arranged small to large within preschool & school age categories
* Tickets $8 presale, $10 at the door
* Order tickets via email
* Alternate ticket pick up locations to be announced soon
* Yes, we will have another women's (& men's per request!) Swap in a few months. Maybe we should do a household goods Swap, too??? Whatcha think?
