Q: What’s the best eyeshadow color for my eyes?
Grace: Well, there’s no BEST color, but to make your eye (pupil) POP try the opposite shade on the color wheel.
BLUE eyes – try shades of copper, bronze, gold, or pinkish-gold. These orange undertones will turn those baby blues brilliant.
GREEN eyes – purple shades. Try a lavender (not too icy) for everyday and plum for some drama.
HAZEL – purple for you as well. These shades will bring out the green.
BROWN eyes – Don’t hate us brown-eyed girls ‘cause we can wear everything. Seriously though, brown eyes look sparkling in gold, purple, light, and dark shades.
I hate to attach rules to makeup, but blue is a hard color to wear. Have fun with it, but be careful at the same time. You’re not going for the “Hey, nice blue eyeshadow” (or any color) look. And wearing colors on your lid the same as your eye color is not bad, it just doesn’t accent your eyes optimally. To try (all colors by MAC): Amber Lights, Mythology, Folie, All That Glitters, Expensive Pink, Sketch.
