Bigger, Better, Easier

"Bigger, better, easier" is the feeling people are expressing after visiting easys Tapas & Martinis and its newly expanded bar and all-new porch area. An official grand opening will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 to celebrate the completion of this grand renovation and properly introduce the new easys to the community.

The celebration will include free refreshments for guests from 5-7 p.m. including appetizers, wine and beer, as well as live musical entertainment performed by Mid Life Crisis starting at 8 p.m.

"We are really proud to have something so unique and quaint to offer Southeast Texas," said easys owner Karen Ingwersen. "There is definitely nothing else like this in town. And now with our new porch and expanded bar, we can draw in a new crowd and better serve our regular customers, while still keeping the comfortable, home-like atmosphere."

The new additions allow this charming little drinking and dining establishment to offer its customers many different dining and entertaining options, from formal dining areas or their signature couch nooks to an added 15-foot bar, and that is just inside. The new porch features 1,300 square feet of cozy outdoor space with stunning décor, cabin-like beauty and a soothingly magnificent water wall.

easys expanded bar and new porch have been open and delighting customers since Dec. 1. They have also expanded their hours of business to midnight on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends and will be adding a Sunday brunch offering.

easys Tapas & Martinis opened in August 2003 in the building formerly home to several Beaumont families before being converted to a jewelry store and then the Old Town Café. Following damage from Hurricane Rita, they demolished the former Fig Vine building next door to make room for the new additions. easys still keeps the warm home atmosphere with the living room-like areas it is known and loved for.
