It's been awhile since Hurricane Rita took the trees in your front yard. Are you missing them? Just a little shade to ease the heat is possible thanks to Operation Green Streets. OGS is a project funded by the USDA Forest Service and Texas Forest Service to replant the urban forest of Southeast Texas. OGS is working with local partners to get shade back into your yard. According to the project's website, planting the right tree in the right place can:
reduce your cooling bill
reduce noise
clean the air you breathe
increase your property value
