Many of you have driven past it, but not known how to say it. Thus, you just don’t talk about it. That’s about to change! What is “it”? IT is Sans Souci. Proper pronunciation: sahn soo-see. It means “without worry” or “carefree.” See, now you don’t have to “worry” if you are saying it right.

Sans Souci, a classy, unique home décor & gift boutique in Beaumont has been open since November of 2003. Owner Seawillow Edwards is a Beaumont native. After graduating from Monsignor Kelly High School, she left our area to attend Baylor University where she graduated with a degree in Art History. The beginnings of her professional work experience took root in Dallas where she worked in two showrooms at the Dallas Market Center. Tiring of the fast-paced lifestyle of the Big D, Seawillow moved home to Beaumont. She then worked in local home décor retail shops which led her to dream of opening her own store someday.

Sans Souci is a great shop if you are looking for an affordable way to spruce up your home according to the latest trends. Seawillow wants everyone who shops there, no matter the budget, to feel as though there is something at Sans Souci just for them. If you’ve already visited Sans Souci, you will recall that there is no one particular style being sold there. Some collections are for the beach lover (you could outfit an entire cabin!), some styles for the dog lover, some for the ever-hosting hostess (TONS of bar & tableware!). Most popular items in the store? Sans Souci’s gifts! Luggage, notecards, candles, monogrammed soaps, pet accessories (collars, bowls, carriers, etc.), home fragrances, guest towels, umbrellas & just about anything else you can think to monogram are found in this store. Just ask Rose, the official store greeter (a 13-year-old yellow lab) & she’ll fix you right up with the perfect gift. Local residents are not the only ones that think Sans Souci is great. This boutique recently won the prestigious Rising Star award presented by the Dallas Market Center & Accessories Resource Team. If that sounds Greek to you, just know that this organization seeks new stores (less than three years old) NATIONWIDE for the best amongst the best. Sans Souci took home the title of #1!
