Texas Crab & Stingaree Music Festivals

In an exciting new twist the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce 24th Annual Texas Crab Festival and The Stingaree Music Festival have joined forces to present one dynamic event, May 29-31, 2009, at Gregory Park on the Bolivar Peninsula. Guests will enjoy the tastiest crab and seafood on the Texas Gulf Coast, unique handcrafted works by the best in local artists, and some of the finest live music in the Lone Star State.

Continuous music and entertainment, dancing under the covered pavilion, food and craft booths, Crab Races, the Texas Crab Fest Wiener Dog Nationals, Crab Legs Contest, volleyball and horseshoe tournaments, raffles with incredible prizes, rides and game, and a Kids Stage with free entertainment and fun activities for the little ‘Crabbies.’

The Stingaree Music Festival takes the stage Saturday night with a lineup of well-known artists including Sisters Morales, Jesse Dayton, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Hayes Carll, John Evans, and The Magpies.
The Texas Crab Fest offers music by The Crawdaddys, L/Angelus, Sunday Morning Gospel with Doc Adams & The Sanctuary Sisters and much, much more.

Event hours are Friday, May 29th – 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, May 30th –10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday, May 31st – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is free and kids under the age of 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Proceeds from this year's festival will go towards building a new baseball field for the community. Come on out, visit with your friends, make new ones and enjoy a Bolivar Peninsula event, May 29-31, like no other.
