How did you get involved with The Weekly Dish? I have thought for years that Beaumont needed a company that delivered home cooked meals to people's doorstep. I heard about The Weekly Dish which was then owned by Elizabeth Winslow. A couple of months after becoming a customer, she decided to move her business to Austin. I inquired about the business, and purchased the business from her in September of 2007.

Have you always liked cooking or was this a developed interest? I was fortunate to grow up around grandparents, aunts and parents that were, and still are great cooks. We had gardens and farms and raised fresh vegetables and meats, which I then watched them cook. I have fond memories of cooking breakfast with my dad. As a teenager I started cooking on my own and after college and marraige, have spent many hours in the kitchen. I enjoy cooking for family and friends. Food is very comforting to me, it's my way of showing someone I love them.

What have you grown to love most about your business? I feel that The Weekly Dish offers a great gift of service. There are so many different people that benefit from our meals. From the elderly, single, empty nester's or busy families, I feel great knowing that we have made their life easier, giving them one less thing to think about.

How does it work? You can order by going to www.theweeklydishonline.com, where you can register to receive our weekly menu emails. Weekly menu's come out on Thursday's and you have until the following Monday's to place your order. You can order 1 or more items, fill in your contact info and on your day of delivery, leave a cooler outside and your meals will be waiting on you when you get home. We deliver to Beaumont, Pinewood, Lumberton and Silsbee on Wednesday's, and to Mid-County, Port Arthur, Bridge City, Orange and Vidor on Thursday's.

You just started catering. What size events do you cater to? We do catering of all sizes, from 10-250 people. We can cater lunches, weddings, showers, etc. We can make a menu to accomodate your needs.

Outside of The Weekly Dish, what do you like to do? Outside of The Weekly Dish I am a stay at home mom with my two children Ashton and Jenna and husband Garrett. I enjoy the outdoors and traveling. I am involved in MOPS, WMU, and teach Sunday School and GA's at Calder Baptist Church.
